This was the first time we took a trip with our pups. Was skeptical at first but found the frances street bottle inn online and decided to make a reservation. We felt right at home the minute we set foot on the property since Mark was so warm and welcoming. Even my dog that is skittish with people, took to him instantly.(my dog loved him so much she run towards bottle inn and into his office.) Room 8 was spacious and with a nice king size bed. The place is an older building so has some character to it. Has a private courtyard which was good for us and the doggies. Breakfast is simple and good. Coffee and pastries and they don't mind if you eat breakfast with your pups either! You can also rent bikes which we did one day and we rode all around key west and also took the dogs to the dog beach. All in all we had a great time and my dogs also loved the place. I recommend this spot to anyone with doggies or even if you don't.

We had a fantastic stay at the bottle inn. First let me say that they are pet friendly! The proprietor was as friendly and accommodating as could be, breakfast was sensational (locally baked pastries and gourmet breakfast sandwiches) and the location is just far away enough from all the craziness on Duval st that you can find free parking but not so far that you feel isolated from all the fun. We rented bikes from the owner for $12 a day and really had a fabulous time in Key West. My girlfriend and I (and her 5 lb dog) only stayed one night in Key West and if we come back we will definitely try to stay at the Bottle Inn again.

Frances Street Bottle Inn is the ONLY place we stay when visiting Key West. We LOVE this place!! Charming, comfortable, and off the beaten path, but still conveniently located, the Frances Street Bottle Inn delivers an authentic Key West experience every time. If you are looking for a five-star resort with uber-modern suites, a spa, and a 24-hour concierge, then this is not the place for you. There are certainly other places to stay where you can waste your hard-earned dollars instead of using them for lots of Key West-style fun! However, if you want a reasonably-priced B&B with a relaxing, warm, and welcoming atmosphere, then you should definitely check out the Bottle Inn! Mark, the owner, is a fun-loving soul who truly enjoys life and the company of his guests. Want a great restaurant recommendation? Ask Mark. Looking for something fun and interesting to do? He's your guy. Want to kick back on a lovely, Key West-style, wrap-around porch with fun people. Look no further. As an added bonus, the Bottle Inn is pet-friendly! If Fido is not your idea of man's best friend, don't fret. We have never had an unpleasant experience involving anyone's four-legged companion. So, leave the rat race behind, unwind, and enjoy some Key West hospitality at the Bottle Inn!

Was lucky enough to find this place on such a short notice (less than 24 hrs). Nice location, like 6 blocks from Duval. My boyfriend and I got the Panama suite, which had its own private entrance, awesome. Thanks to Marc the owner and the laid back atmosphere, we had a great time and would love to come back!

Had an amazing stay with Mark at the St. Frances Street Bottle Inn. Enjoyed the mornings on the patio and evenings enjoying a drink. Other guest were very friendly as well. Met all our expectations for our stay. We became good friends with Mark and look forward to our next visit. Remember this is Key West. This is the island life!

As Jax and I prepare for our wedding next week, I was recalling an awesome little place we had stayed earlier this year during one of our 'planning' visits and I had thought that it would be great for them to have a current review; they certainly deserve it. We had found this B&B online and booked it even though it seemed a little over priced. Once we drove down from Miami, it was everything that it needed to be and more. We came in a little late so a key was waiting for us along with *complimentary* beer and wine chilling in the community kitchen. Dennis, the Inn Keeper on duty, was a most friendly and helpful person. He made sure that we had a *HOT* breakfast of eggs frittata, hash browns and an assortment of fruits and pastries. One morning, a lady that was enjoying her breakfast on the patio with us shared that she comes down to Key West every year for the past 15 years and each time she stays at FSBI. They have bikes that you can rent by the day, a fridge and an ice maker; all the amenities that you really need in Key West. The community areas got a little warm but when you're leaving doors and windows open to catch the beauty of Key West, that's to be expected. Our particular room had a huge balcony where we sat with a cigar, some Shiner Bock and a bottle of red chatting away until the wee hours of the morning. This is what a romantic, relaxing vacation should be... There's a lot of other places I've yet to explore in Key West but you can be sure that FSBI will always be 1st or 2nd choice on my list. What's Good? - Hot breakfast (complimentary) - Social (read: booze) hour from 5-6 (can't confirm, we were never there during those hours) - Quite area, PERFECT central location What's Not So Good? - Warmer common areas - No privacy/segregation on the upper balcony between suites, just one big wrap around area.

My husband and I chose this place because of the decent reviews, and because of the kindness of the woman who answered my questions before I made the reservation. But when we arrived around noontime, the owner was intoxicated and drinking with a friend on the front porch. That didn't bother us too much. (After all, we weren't there to hang out with him.) But later in the evening, when we returned and went out to the backyard to check it out, the owner grabbed me around my shoulders, kissed me on the forehead, and asked me to not open the side door again. (He was afraid we would open it and forget to lock it back up.) Completely inappropriate. I feel horrible for the woman working there. It looks like she does all the work while her boss gets drunk and acts inappropriately. I actually thought she was the owner when I made the reservation. She deserves a raise. I'm hopeful that this was a 1-time incident and that she doesn't have to endure such drunken encounters at work.

First, the good news. Good location. Close enough to walk to Duval and the entertainment is far enough away to keep the neighborhood quiet. April the housekeeper is a gem. Unfortunately that's all the good news. Basically the place is a dump. As you walk in you'll notice it's horribly overgrown and in need of nearly every repair you can think of: paint, new floors and rugs, the office is a mess with of piles of junk and the overall cleanliness is well...poor. Everything is tired. The Bed: As you're escorted to your room it doesn't get any better. The "court yard" is littered with dirty worn out furniture, garden pots with dead/dying plants, and a broken fountain with standing off color water. There's an enclosure of sorts that houses the broken ice machine, a rusty refrigerator with leftover food, discarded filthy petrol cans, a bunch of abandoned rusty junk and styrofoam coolers. The room on the first floor was dark, damp and musty odored with crappy mismatched furniture and a rusty ill-sealed a/c window unit that cooled off the tiny bedroom just fine but without the use of earplugs, we'd have been awake all night. The walls are so thin I was tempted a few times to join in on the neighbors conversations. And to make things just a bit more uncomfortable, the toilet never flushed the bowl completely. The Breakfast: If you like powered eggs mixed with old potatoes served out of a crock pot, day old pastries, and coffee so weak it looks like tea, this is the place for you. Drink the coffee black, the milk was sour. Free filtered cold water is available, but bring your own glass, the ones offered haven't been thoroughly washed. They do have free wifi! I switched back to 3G because it was too slow. One of the other reviewers mentioned Mark. He greeted us warmly with a head of greasy hair pulled into a rubberbanded ponytail and wearing a soiled shirt that appeared to have been worn for many consecutive days. He spends most of his day parked on the front porch smoking and BSing with anyone who will listen. We had high expectations for our trip to KW and the $220/night room, but we found ourselves dreading the time at the Bottle Inn and seeking out close-by breakfast spots.

Great location! I could walk just about everywhere. Very nice 2nd floor suite with a lovely, partially shaded porch. Mark is the perfect host. Really makes sure that you have everything you need. They have bikes for rent. Breakfast ranged from great to OK, but I can't complain when it is included in the rates, along with drinks and nibbles in the afternoon.

It is a very charming little B&B. It is a newly renovated Conch house. We fell in love with the place the moment we walked in. The location of the inn is perfect. 10 minutes walk to Duval street. When we arrived, the host Natalie, who is a charming young lady from Ukraine, greeted us and offered us some beer or wine. They also have social hour from 5-6, which they serve wine and hors d'oeuvre. Their hospitality was great. Helpful, friendly, but giving you lots of personal space. We stayed in a suite with a bedroom, bathroom, a living room, and a porch!!!! The place felt so comfortable to stay. There were nights we just decided to stay in and read on the porch. If anyone is going to Key West, I would highly recommend this place.
